My emphasis: In the last few weeks we’ve been in talks with BBC WM to have an audio piece we had prepared about invisible work in Birmingham broadcast on the station, and it’s now been uploaded on to the BBC WM website to be streamed on demand. The program is called Your Space and has recently moved from its Sunday night slot to an internet-only broadcast, as the BBC find that this attains a larger and more diverse audience than its original on-air slot. Where I work looks like that but its bleaker when you are actually there! and it makes feel miserable most of the time! Do any of you night workers out there experience the same miserableness or is it different for you???

Where I work is equally as bleak, you know about it when you’re there! I feel as miserable as those pictures look! Is this a similar experience of working conditions that other nightworkers face?
Does it make you generally more moody like me???

There is definately something bleak about the Wholesale Markets – I certainly wouldn’t want to work their all night!
